Curry Goat

Bone-in goat. Rich golden curry. A dish born from two cultures meeting on one island.

Curry goat is one of the most direct examples of Jamaica's multicultural history. When Indian indentured workers arrived in Jamaica in the mid-1800s, they brought their spice traditions — including curry powder. Jamaicans adopted the technique and adapted it to local ingredients: scotch bonnet pepper, fresh thyme, allspice, and green onion.

Authentic curry goat is always bone-in. The bones enrich the braising liquid with marrow and collagen in a way boneless meat can't replicate. Served as a dinner plate with coconut flavoured rice & peas and coleslaw.
